FOUNDER AND CEO
Karla Riegler
She is the founder and CEO of AGR EXPEDITIONS. She grew up in Austria and already in her childhood she discovered her passion for nature and the mountains. She loves skiing, cross-country skiing, MTB and rock climbing and she traveled to many countries around the world to explore the mountains and rocks. What Karla always pushed forward was the curiosity for a full and intense life. Therefore, she sought a new challenge and went on a journey, she started to South America. After Peru, she got to know the people and treasures of the small country at the equator, Ecuador. She is a passionate outdoor woman who has explored many hidden regions of Ecuador. She loves to pass on her wealth of experience to the guests and to arrange the individual programs uniquely. She speaks perfect German, Spanish and English.
CO-FOUNDER
Estalin Suarez
He is the co-founder of AGR EXPEDITIONS and main guide in the team. Estalin is an esteemed mountain guide from Ecuador who holds the prestigious International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA-UIAGM-IVBV) certification. With his extensive experience and skill, he is known for guiding climbers on challenging routes throughout Ecuador’s Andean peaks. He is an enthusiast and passionate mountaineer, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the Andes, in the Alps and in the Karakorum. He’s highly respected for his knowledge of the terrain and his dedication to ensuring the safety and success of his clients’ climbs. He appeals to every single customer, motivates you and his top priority is to bring everyone back down well. His native language is Spanish, he also speaks fluent English and some German.

Paul Hinojosa

Mountain Guide
He lives in Riobamba and being near Chimborazo he climbed this mountain many times via different routes. He started his guiding career back in 2000 and has summited many volcanoes in Ecuador with international mountaineers from all over the globe.
Pablo Moreta

Mountain Guide
As a mountain-loving guide and climber, he climbed in Ecuador, Peru, Argentina and Chile in Patagonia in different modalities such as medium mountain, high mountain, ice rock climbing, and likewise multi-pitch. Pablo has been part of some openings and first repetitions of some routes in the mentioned countries. He speaks Spanish and English.
Manuel Calapiña

Mountain Guide
Manuel grew up at the foot of Chimborazo close to Riobamba, where he discovered his passion for the mountains. Guiding mountaineers from all over the globe Manuel has summited most of the Ecuadorian mountains as well as a number of important peaks in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca.
